Mata ki Chowki mandali across Delhi NCR

A Mata ki Chowki is an evening of devotional singing to Maa Durga and her forms — bhajans, aarti and collective prayer, usually two to four hours. Families hold one to fulfil a mannat (vow) made to the Devi, to mark a birthday, a wedding or a housewarming, during Navratri, or simply as an annual family tradition. A full-night Mata ka Jagran follows the same format at greater length, for a bigger occasion or a larger gathering.

Our mandalis travel across the region — the Dwarka and Dwarka Expressway societies, the Noida Expressway and Sector 70–150 belt, Greater Noida West, Indirapuram and Raj Nagar Extension in Ghaziabad, the Golf Course Extension and Sohna Road corridors in Gurugram, the Faridabad Greater sectors, and the older colonies of Delhi.

What our Delhi NCR mandali brings

  • Trained devotional singers with dholak, harmonium and manjira, singing Devi bhajans your guests can join in on
  • Kalash and Mata ki Chowki decoration — the seat of the Devi, set up with cloth, flowers and a lit diya
  • Opening sankalp and Gauri Ganesh puja
  • A programme of bhajans built around your family's favourites, with room for requests on the night
  • The closing aarti, with sound system and basic lighting suited to your venue
  • Guidance on prasad and bhandara, if you are serving guests

Chowki or full Jagran, and how many singers you need, depends on the size of your gathering and how long you want the evening to run — tell us when you enquire and we will size the mandali to match.

Chowki, Jagran or a Bhajan Sandhya?

  • Mata ki Chowki — two to four hours, the usual choice for a family gathering, a mannat, or an evening alongside another puja.
  • Mata ka Jagran — a full night of bhajans, for a larger occasion, a society or community event, or a long-standing family tradition.
  • Bhajan Sandhya — a shorter, quieter evening of devotional singing without the full chowki setup, where families want the bhajans but not the larger ceremony.

Homes, society halls and temples

We arrange Mata ki Chowki and Jagran programmes in living rooms, on terraces, in society community halls and in temples across Delhi NCR. A hall of two hundred needs a different sound setup from a family gathering of twenty — tell us the venue and the number of guests you expect and we will size the mandali, the sound system and the lighting to match.

When families book

  • Navratri — the most common time for a Chowki or Jagran, on any night of the nine
  • A mannat fulfilled — a vow made to the Devi, completed with a Chowki in thanksgiving
  • Birthdays and weddings — a devotional evening alongside the celebration
  • Griha Pravesh — a Chowki to bless a new home, often alongside the housewarming puja
  • An annual family tradition — many families hold one on the same date every year

How booking works

  1. Message us with your locality — for example Sector 137 Noida, Sector 65 Gurugram, Dwarka Sector 12 — the date, and whether you want a Chowki or a full Jagran.
  2. We confirm the mandali size, the timing and an all-inclusive price on WhatsApp.
  3. The mandali arrives with instruments and sets up the Chowki, kalash and decoration.
  4. The evening runs through bhajans, aarti and prasad, closing at the time you have planned.

Frequently asked questions

Which areas of Delhi NCR do you cover?

All of it — Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Greater Noida including Noida Extension, Ghaziabad and Faridabad. Tell us your sector or colony and we will confirm a mandali for your date.

What is the difference between a Mata ki Chowki and a Jagran?

A Chowki usually runs two to four hours; a Jagran is a full night of bhajans for a larger occasion. Both follow the same format of Devi bhajans, aarti and collective prayer.

How many singers are in the mandali?

It depends on the size of your gathering and the format you choose. Tell us the number of guests and whether it is a Chowki or a full Jagran, and we will size the mandali to match.

Can you perform in a society hall or temple?

Yes. We regularly arrange Chowki and Jagran programmes in society community halls and temples across Delhi NCR, as well as in homes.

Can we request specific bhajans?

Yes. Tell us your family's favourites when you book and the mandali will build the evening around them, alongside the standard aarti and closing bhajans.

Do you provide sound and lighting?

A sound system and basic lighting suited to your venue are included. For a larger hall or outdoor ground, tell us and we will arrange additional equipment.
