Frequently asked questions

What is the one item people most often forget?

Tulsi leaves and bananas. Both are considered essential for Satyanarayan Puja.

Do I need banana stems for the mandap?

They are traditional but optional; a simple decorated chowki is acceptable if banana stems are hard to source.

Does Vandanam bring all of this?

Yes. Our package includes the full samagri kit and the sheera ingredients; you only provide a clean space and water.

Can the sheera be made without banana?

Banana is customary in the Satyanarayan sheera; if unavailable, the puja is still valid, but most families include it.
