Akhand Ramayan Path mandali across Delhi NCR

An akhand path is a 24-hour unbroken recitation of all seven kands, from Balkand through to Uttarkand. Because the reading must never stop, it cannot be done by one pandit — it takes a mandali who recite in relay and hand over mid-verse. Families across the NCR hold one to sanctify a new home, to complete a sankalp taken in a hard year, to settle recurring trouble in the household, or in memory of an elder on a barsi.

We arrange mandalis across the region — the Dwarka and Dwarka Expressway societies, the Noida Expressway and Sector 70–150 belt, Greater Noida West, Indirapuram and Raj Nagar Extension in Ghaziabad, the Golf Course Extension and Sohna Road corridors in Gurugram, the Faridabad Greater sectors, and the older colonies of Delhi.

What the mandali handles

  • Four to six acharyas, rostered in relay so the path never pauses through the night
  • Sankalp, Ganesh puja and kalash sthapana to open
  • The akhand jyot, set and tended for the full duration
  • Ramcharitmanas volumes, chowki, cloth and all puja samagri
  • The closing havan and purnahuti at the same hour the next day
  • Aarti, and guidance on bhog and bhandara timing so guests are fed around the path

Formats we arrange in the NCR

  • Akhand Ramayan Path — 24 hours continuous, relay of pandits
  • Ramcharitmanas Navahn Parayan — the full text across nine days, for families who cannot keep a room undisturbed for a full day and night
  • Single kand path — most often Sunderkand; see our Sunderkand Path mandali in Delhi NCR page
  • Ram Charit Manas with Ram Katha — recitation with a vyakhyan by the pandit

Homes, society halls and temples

Keeping a room undisturbed for 24 hours is difficult in a flat, so many NCR families hold the akhand path in their society community hall or a local temple instead. We arrange both, and we will plan the akhand jyot placement, the seating and the bhandara flow around whichever venue you choose. Tell us the space and the number of guests when you enquire.

Choosing the date

Ram Navami and Vivah Panchami are the most auspicious occasions, and both book out well in advance. Akhand paths are also commonly held just before a Griha Pravesh, during Pitru Paksha in memory of elders, or on a family barsi. Give us your preferred date and we will confirm the start muhurat.

How booking works

  1. Message us with your locality, the date, the venue, and the format you want — akhand 24-hour, navahn parayan, or a single kand.
  2. We confirm the mandali size, the start muhurat and an all-inclusive price on WhatsApp.
  3. The pandits arrive, set up the akhand jyot and begin the path at the sankalp time.
  4. The path closes with havan, purnahuti and aarti at the same hour the next day.

Frequently asked questions

Which areas of Delhi NCR do you cover?

All of it — Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Greater Noida including Noida Extension, Ghaziabad and Faridabad.

How many pandits are in an Akhand Ramayan Path mandali?

Usually four to six, reciting in relay so the recitation never stops. The exact number depends on the format and the pace you want.

Does the family have to sit through all 24 hours?

No. Families usually take turns sitting with the path, and gather for the opening sankalp, the closing havan and the final aarti.

Can the path be held in a society hall or temple?

Yes, and many NCR families prefer it, because a flat rarely has a room that can stay undisturbed for a full day and night.

What if we cannot manage a full 24 hours?

Choose a navahn parayan instead — the same complete text spread across nine days — or a single-kand path such as Sunderkand, which takes about three hours.

What does the family need to arrange?

A clean space that can stay undisturbed for the duration, seating for guests, and the bhog or bhandara. We bring the volumes, chowki, jyot and samagri.
